JOB SUMMARY
The Human Resources Generalist supports various Human Resources activities including internal recruiting, Associate Relations, plant-wide communication, compensation, benefits, training, associate development and relations with assigned functional units. Reviews and suggests improvements to current training plans and course content. Supports the HRBP function with standardization of programs, processes and systems. The Human Resources Business Partner is also the primary backup for Basic Skills Training and the onboarding of new Associates.
DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinates and facilitates activities and discussion associated with performance and development.
- Supports the annual performance management process including preparing and sending performance management process communications.
- Administers surveys and assessments, collects and analyzes data to understand existing conditions.
- Provides HR assistance to assigned business unit(s) or function unit(s) to ensure customer requests and needs are met in a timely basis.
- Improves business or function unit performance by serving as main point of contact and partnering with management and associates to identify and clarify problems, evaluating and recommending potential solutions.
- Recruitment liaison between NATA and DMCN for hourly vacancy fulfillment.
- Managing DMCN Specific Training:
Vendor communication and coordination, PO, planning, schedule with managers and team leaders, tracking attendance and completion. - Processing all Individual Training Requests including logging training, tracking cost, PO processing.
- BST Trainer backup for new hires.
- Administer and respond to benefits questions/issues. Health, dental, etc.
- Administer and respond to short term disability questions/issues. Tracking, follow up, modified RTW.
- Process OINP – Government of Ontario – immigration records for Associates.
- Develop DMCN specific communication for internal customers.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Management, Instructional Design or related field required OR 3+ years of related and relevant experience required.
- Associate Relations experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment would be an asset.
- Good knowledge and familiarity with organizational development theories and practices.
- Strong knowledge and familiarity with provincial employment law and regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical skills, with an ability to gather and summarize training data.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills.
- Ability to communicate with internal and external customers on issues of moderate to considerable importance, up to and including senior management.
- Ability to complete multiple assigned project tasks while also successfully performing daily essential duties.
- Strong continuous improvement mindset.
- Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.).

Range of Expected Annual Salary, inclusive of discretionary annual bonus: $59,220 – $75,845
