This temporary full-time position is key to managing the Ontario Beef, Dairy, and Sheep Research Centres. You will lead a team, ensuring that the facilities support rigorous research efforts across disciplines. Your leadership will ensure operational success while adhering to health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and implement livestock research trials
• Manage hiring, training, and performance evaluations
• Direct year-round operations of extensive research facilities
• Administer yearly budget of $6.5 million
• Facilitate communication with external stakeholders
Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree in related field required
• 5+ years of experience in livestock operations
• Hands-on knowledge of production systems
• Strong budget management capabilities
• Proficient problem solver amid regulatory constraints
