Major Gifts Development Manager

Position: Major Gifts Development Manager Role
Lead fundraising initiatives as the Major Gifts Development Manager at the University of Guelph in Guelph, Ontario. Foster deep donor relationships and contribute to impactful fundraising campaigns.

This role focuses on the personal solicitation of major gifts, targeting donations from $25,000 to $500,000. Working in a collaborative environment, you'll report to the Senior Development Manager and engage effectively with alumni and corporate sponsors to enhance the College of Social and Applied Human Sciences. The successful candidate will enhance the university's mission by driving philanthropic engagement and support while demonstrating the core values of the institution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cultivate and solicit major gift donors and prospects

• Maintain a portfolio of cleared donors

• Prepare briefing materials for fundraising activities

• Collaborate with various stakeholders to align fundraising goals

• Develop cases and proposals to support fundraising initiatives

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of two years in fundraising

• Preferred CFRE designation for advanced recognition

• Effective communicator with strong problem-solving abilities

• Experience managing multiple priorities within a team

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and donor management systems
