In the industrial manufacturing landscape, this is a true "hunter" sales role. You will be responsible for aggressive new business development while managing high-value existing accounts, such as major supply agreements in the mining sector. The ideal Technical Sales Manager is someone who thrives on independence and possesses a deep mechanical aptitude. Whether you are using a vertical caliper or a micrometer to verify specifications or navigating long sales cycles—ranging from two months for rubber parts to six months for complex plastics—your goal is to provide an unparalleled level of technical consultation.

Communication is a cornerstone of success for any Technical Sales Manager. While this specific role is focused on the Ontario and GTA corridor and does not require bilingualism, the ability to clearly articulate technical value propositions to professional engineers is essential. You will be expected to spend approximately three days per week on the road, building face-to-face relationships, and two days in the office coordinating with the leadership team.

• Drive new business growth by identifying and prospecting "hunter" opportunities within the automotive, agriculture, mining, and solar sectors.
• Consult with client engineers to develop custom-manufactured rubber and plastic solutions based on specific dimensions and tolerances.
• Manage the full technical sales cycle, from initial cold outreach and technical measurement to final contract negotiation.
• Utilize mechanical tools, including vertical calipers, measuring tapes, and micrometers, to provide accurate on-site technical assessments.
• Maintain and grow existing strategic accounts, ensuring high levels of client retention and cross-selling.
• Execute an organized territory management plan, spending roughly 60% of the week in the field across the GTA and Ontario.
• Record all prospecting activities and client interactions accurately within the Agile CRM system.
• Provide regular reports on market trends, competitor activity, and sales forecasts to the Commercial Director.
