Join Beacon Environmental as a Fluvial Geomorphologist, focusing on complex environmental assessments with a hybrid work model. Lead projects in natural channel design, geomorphic assessments, and erosion control measures.
Located in either the Markham or Guelph office, you will oversee and guide fluvial geomorphology projects with your extensive experience. Your expertise in channel rehabilitation, erosion threshold evaluations, and collaboration with municipalities will ensure successful project delivery. You'll manage project scopes, budgets, and schedules while liaising with technical teams and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and complete field investigations on watercourse conditions
• Process field data with quality control measures
• Analyze geomorphic data for multidisciplinary projects
• Develop and review natural channel design concepts
• Support permitting with technical documentation
Requirements:
• 8+ years in fluvial geomorphology consulting
• Experience in leading geomorphology assessments
• Strong natural channel design skills
• Knowledge of municipal and regulatory requirements
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and GIS applications
