Explore a summer opportunity in Fergus as a Shop & Trades Helper! Work closely with journeyperson electricians to assist on projects involving electrical systems and HVAC tasks.
This 8-week role, from June 15th to August 10th, 2026, focuses on supporting installations, completing maintenance, and managing shop responsibilities. Ideal for those keen on a trade career, you will develop skills in a practical environment while ensuring safe job sites and cleanliness. Teamwork and a strong work ethic are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the installation of electrical systems
• Support fire alarm system work and inspections
• Help with HVAC-related assistance
• Maintain shop and yard organization and cleanliness
• Load and unload tools and materials for various tasks
Requirements:
• Must be eligible for the Canada Summer Jobs program
• Interest in pursuing the electrical trade
• Reliable work habits and willingness to learn
• Ability to follow guidance and work in a team
• Capable of lifting 50lbs and climbing ladders
