Industrial Electrician

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Industrial Electrician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining electrical and mechanical equipment within the plant. Working closely with maintenance and operations teams, this role supports production by ensuring equipment reliability, completing preventative maintenance activities, and responding to equipment issues in a safe and timely manner.
Shift Details:
- Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Monday to Friday
- Moderate overtime, including weekends

Base Salary: $38.80 per hour Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:
- Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment including:
- AC drives, power control circuits, starters, motors, MCCs
- Maintain and troubleshoot microprocessor‑based systems including PLCs, DCS, electronic circuits, and controls
- Work with low‑ and medium‑voltage distribution systems (single‑ and three‑phase)
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot instrumentation systems (pneumatics, PID controls, transducers, servo systems, analog/digital signals)
- Service power distribution and generation systems including generators, transformers, switchgear, and breakers
- Support communication and data systems (CCTV, timekeeping, phone/computer systems)
- Maintain HVAC, emergency, refrigeration, energy control, alarm, and hydraulic systems
- Perform planned preventative and predictive maintenance and maintain accurate maintenance records
- Recommend and implement corrective actions and required repairs
- Assist with work planning including blueprint, drawing, and schematic interpretation and parts preparation
- Install new conduits, lighting fixtures, wiring, receptacles, and replace or upgrade existing fixtures
- Test continuity, resistance, voltage, and current for troubleshooting purposes
- Follow all safety, food safety, and quality policies and procedures
- Valid Electrician License
- Experience as an electrician in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
- Experience in the Food & Beverage industry (asset)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings
- Basic computer skills with strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
- Safety‑conscious with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
- Physically capable of heavy lifting
- Must have a full complement of personal/professional hand tools
