As a Diesel Mechanic, you will repair medium to heavy-duty trucks and trailers to industry standards. This role requires you to perform basic welding, monitor job profitability, and manage inventory while ensuring the highest quality of work. Your skills will play a crucial role in minimizing warranty claims and enhancing customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
• Repair customer vehicles and trailers according to specifications
• Conduct basic welding functions when needed
• Update customers and managers on service completion times
• Monitor and report job profitability and minimize re-work
• Prepare necessary lists for replacement parts
Requirements:
• Two years of experience in diesel mechanics within heavy-duty industry
• Automotive Service Excellence certification or equivalent
• Own tools and willingness to acquire additional ones
• Ability to lift over 50 lbs and valid driver's license
• Strong commitment to quality and customer service
