Heavy Equipment Mechanic at RailWorks

Elevate your skills as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic with PNR Rail Works. This role focuses on maintaining railway construction equipment with a blend of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic expertise.

As a Mechanic reporting to the Equipment Manager, you'll perform preventative and corrective maintenance on specialized machinery. This position requires a 2nd Term Mechanic Apprentice with field service experience and familiarity with heavy-duty equipment operations. Adaptability in various weather conditions and attention to safety protocols are crucial to your success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on work equipment

• Read and interpret blueprints and schematic drawings

• Diagnose and repair equipment problems effectively

• Operate cranes and forklifts for maintenance tasks

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop

Requirements:

• 2nd Term Mechanic Apprentice status

• Previous rail experience preferred

• Own tools necessary for job completion

• DZ or higher driver's license preferred

• Strong hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting skills
