Mechanic Role with RailWorks

Take on a challenging Mechanic role at PNR Rail Works, specializing in railway construction equipment maintenance. This position combines technical skills in a flexible work environment.

Reporting to the Shop Foreman, your duties will involve performing maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems of construction vehicles. The ideal candidate is a 2nd Term Mechanic Apprentice with field experience, capable of working effectively under various conditions. Safety awareness and the ability to follow protocols will be key to excel in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair specialized railway construction equipment

• Work from service manuals and blueprints

• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment effectively

• Utilize hand and power tools as required

• Ensure shop cleanliness and safety procedures

Requirements:

• 2nd Term Mechanic Apprentice with relevant experience

• Background in rail service is advantageous

• Required to have own tools

• Ownership of a DZ or higher driver’s license is a plus

• Strong understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems
