Redpath is hiring a Mechanic for the Musselwhite project, offering a unique remote work environment on a rotation schedule. Ideal candidates will engage in preventive maintenance on essential mining equipment.

As a Mechanic, your primary focus will be on servicing diesel and hydraulic equipment, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations. A Journeyperson designation or five years' experience in a similar field is necessary for this role, specifically in underground operations. Responsibilities include troubleshooting equipment, overseeing maintenance, and training new staff to enhance safety practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment

• Diagnose problems and implement solutions effectively

• Adhere to Redpath's safety regulations and standards

• Support the training of apprentices and new team members

• Evaluate repaired equipment for proper functionality

Requirements:

• Journeyperson or equivalent experience with mining equipment

• Basic literacy and ability to interpret schematics

• Knowledge of regulatory standards for underground machinery

• Minimum 3 years' experience in mining preferred

• Strong organizational and mentoring skills
