Mobile HGV Technician​/Engineer

Job Title:

HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter
Salary: 20.50- 23.50ph

Shift: Contracted hours are 42.5 hrs per week. Typically 45 to 50+ hours per week are available (with some flexibility required on working hours) ,

Overtime at time and a half paid after 8.5 hours a day.
Overtime at double time after 10.5 hours a day and weekend work

We are looking for a Mobile HGV Technician / Engineer to join our client, a fast growing team of Engineers / Technicians in Guilford.

You will be allocated a service van that you can take to and from your residence, assuming you live within a reasonable distance of our workshop.

Job Responsibilities:

• Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMIs)
• MOT Preparation
• Servicing
• Repairs
• Diagnostics
• Breakdown attendance
• HGV licence requirement. Minimum of 7.5T and above. Class 2 or above preferred.

Mobiler HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter Qualifications and Requirements:

• Time-served HGV Technician or equivalent qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 preferred)
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• An extensive experience in carrying out repairs and maintenance on trucks, components and associated vehicles.
• Familiarization with developments in the automotive industry.
• Valid Driving License
• HGV repair: 10 years (required)
• 7.5T or above. (required)

• Applicants must have extensive experience in HGV repairs with excellent diagnostic, repair and customer facing skills.
