Position OverviewElectrical Test & Inspector – working in London or Home Counties within a team of two.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) in commercial and industrial environments.
- Inspect and test electrical systems including wiring, circuits, switch gear, and control equipment.
- Identify and document defects, non‑compliances, and potential safety hazards.
- Provide clear reports detailing the condition of electrical installations and recommend remedial actions.
- Ensure all inspections comply with BS7671 and IET Wiring Regulations.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry standards, legislation and best practices.
- Communicate findings to clients, answer questions and offer technical advice.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
- Minimum 3 years of electrical installation experience.
- City & Guilds 2391–52 (or equivalent) qualification in Inspection and Testing; NVQ Level 3 18th Edition.
- In‑depth knowledge of BS7671, IET Wiring Regulations and other relevant standards.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
- Valid UK driving licence.
- Salary £48,000‑£50,616 (DOE) with OTE £60,000‑£65,000.
- Paid Holidays – 30 days including bank holidays.
- Hours – 45 hours per week.
- Company vehicle – suitable car and van with fuel card.
- Pension – company contributes 3% of salary, employee contributes 5%; enrolment from day one.
- Health scheme – available after 6‑month probation.
- SSP – paid from day one.
