VAG Vehicle Technician – Mon-Fri Independent Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician / VAG Specialist to join our premier independent workshop team in Guildford. Moving away from rigid corporate dealer targets, we offer a £40,000–£50,000 basic salary, permanent Monday-to-Friday hours (07:30–17:30, strictly no weekends), lucrative optional overtime, and access to genuine factory-level diagnostic software.

As a vital Vehicle Technician / VAG Specialist in our Guildford workshop, you will:

• Perform specialized routine servicing
  , timing chains, cambelts, and preventative maintenance to strict manufacturer guidelines.
• Utilize factory-level online diagnostic systems to systematically troubleshoot, isolate, and repair complex electrical and mechanical faults.
• Execute major mechanical repairs
  , including advanced braking, suspension setups, and drivetrain overhauls.
• Support performance tuning projects and remapping work as part of an authorized performance specialist team.

• Qualifications &
  
  Experience:
  
  NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds (or equivalent time-served experience) with strong hands‑on familiarity with VAG group platforms (VW, Audi, Seat, Skoda). F-Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it).
• Licensing: A full UK driving licence is essential.
  An active MOT Tester licence is preferred but not required.
• Equipment: Must possess your own hand tools for daily workshop repair tasks.
• Key Strengths: Superior diagnostic troubleshooting skills, high attention to detail, and a genuine passion for VAG engineering and performance tuning.
