Plumber / Multi-Trade Operative
Location:
Guildford, Surrey
Salary:
Up to £38,325 per annum, depending on experience
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Plumber / Multi-Trade Operative to join a well-established national property services contractor delivering a long-term residential maintenance contract across Guildford and the surrounding areas.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified plumber who also has experience across additional trades and is confident working within occupied residential properties.
The RoleYou will be responsible for carrying out reactive, planned and disrepair works, using your plumbing expertise alongside wider multi-trade skills to deliver high-quality repairs and first-time fixes.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out plumbing repairs including leak detection and hot/cold water systems.
- Undertake immersion tank and kitchen/bathroom installation works.
- Complete multi-trade repairs including:
- Wall and floor tiling
- 1st and 2nd fix carpentry
- Patch plastering and making good
- Painting and decorating
- Accurately record completed works using mobile technology.
- Work closely with supervisors, planners and support teams.
- Complete risk assessments and follow all health & safety procedures.
- Provide professional customer service to residents.
- Support apprentices and contribute to a positive team environment.
- Work within occupied residential properties.
- Participate in an out-of-hours/emergency callout rota when required.
- NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Plumbing, or equivalent.
- Valid Unvented Hot Water Systems Certificate.
- Multi-trade experience including tiling, carpentry, plastering and decorating.
- Ability to safely isolate and test electrical components.
- Previous experience within social housing repairs and maintenance.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Own, well-maintained tools.
- Strong health & safety awareness.
- Good communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach.
- Salary up to £38,325, depending on experience.
