Early Childhood Teacher

Overview

URGENTLY HIRING:
Little Sprouts Learning Center is growing, and we’re looking for a caring, energetic team member to join our staff! Current opening(s) are part time with the possibility of full time hours. Candidates should be nurturing, reliable, and enthusiastic about early childhood education, have the ability to collaborate with other teachers and follow children’s individual needs and routines. Previous child care/teaching experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Must meet state licensing requirements (background check, health form, etc.) and be CPR/1st Aid and MAT certified.

• Provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
• Assist in caring for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years (depending on classroom assignment)
• Support children’s social-emotional development through positive interactions
• Help implement daily routines, activities, and lesson plans
• Supervise play (indoors and outdoors) and encourage exploration
• Assist with meals, snacks, and rest time routines
• Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization
• Communicate with families and staff in a warm, professional manner
• Follow all state licensing regulations and center policies

• Minimum of 2 years of professional child care experience.
• Ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
• A strong understanding of child development.
• Infant/child CPR & First Aid and MAT certification.
• Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
• Associate’s Degree in early childhood education or related field of study with a minimum of 30 credits in ECE.
• Must have a solid work attendance history, as reliability/regular attendance is necessary for maintaining OEC ratios.
