** Description of Work
** Early Intervention Service Coordinators (EISCs) are the heart of Early Intervention! They provide service coordination for children in the NC Infant-Toddler Program and support to their families and caregivers. Research shows that birth to three is a critical period for working with families to support their competence and confidence as their child’s first and most important teacher. The birth-to-three period offers a window of opportunity to make a positive difference in how a child develops and learns.

EISCs typically have the flexibility of telework and a hybrid workplace.
EISC duties include:  
• Working with families and team members to develop functional Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs)  
• Working with multi-disciplinary teams to determine families’ needs for supports and services   
• Conducting home visits  
• Coordinating services, such as speech and physical therapy  
• Arranging and monitoring other early intervention services   
• Planning for transition to other services at age three

** Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement.

The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred:
* Experience working with children in the age range 0 – 8 and their families, including children with developmental delays.
* Knowledge of young child development, including developmental milestones.
* Experience working with and collaborating with families and other professionals.
* Knowledge of evidence-based practices used in working with young children and families, such as natural learning environment practices and caregiver coaching.
* Fluency in a second language.
** Physical Requirements
** Must be able to drive and travel by car across the CDSA’s catchment area.
** This position will close at 11:59 p.m. the night before the end date.
