• Standards of Practice:
  The RN practice is guided by the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice (2015). Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation; coordinating care, health teaching, promotion, and evaluation of progress toward attainment of outcomes.
• Standards of Professional Performance:
  The RN demonstrates professional behavior in areas such as ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence‑based practice, research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health.
• May assist and/or perform chaperone duties for patient medical procedures as needed.

Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.

Experience: Registered Nurse is the foundational job description for all RNs.

Licensure: Licensed and currently registered nurse in the state of employment.

Physical Demand: Requires prolonged standing, walking, use of sight, hearing, and touch; may be exposed to infectious diseases; exposure to physical, mental, and emotional illness and end‑of‑life conditions and death. Moderate stress and risk of injury. Standing and walking for more than half of the day; frequently bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, twisting, and lifting patients ranging from 5 to 300 pounds.
