Research Associate

Branford, CT (Fully Onsite)

Shift: Monday through Friday, standard business hours

Hourly Pay Range:
The hourly rate for this position is expected to be between $28.00 and $32.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.

Position Overview

Our client is an innovative biotechnology company focused on next-generation protein sequencing technology. The Research Associate will support the reagent development team in executing structured laboratory workflows that contribute directly to product development and commercialization efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute PCR-based workflows and molecular biology assays according to established SOPs
  • Prepare reagents, buffers, and solutions to support assay development
  • Perform DNA and RNA extraction, gel electrophoresis, and related molecular techniques
  • Maintain detailed and accurate experimental documentation
  • Support troubleshooting efforts under the guidance of senior scientists
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to ensure workflow consistency and data integrity
  • Maintain clean and organized lab space in compliance with safety standards
Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related field

Hands-on experience with PCR and gel electrophoresis

• Experience working in a structured laboratory environment with strong documentation practices

• Strong attention to detail and ability to execute repeatable workflows with precision

• Ability to work fully onsite in Branford, CT

Preferred

• Industry lab experience

• Exposure to sequencing workflows or reagent development

• Experience operating in GLP or GMP environments
