Job Title Finance Clerk III
- Harrison County Campus
The incumbent is responsible for Harrison County Campus Business Office functions and administrative support tasks relative to the mission of the College and the Business Office. The incumbent will report to the Business Office Manager and the Dean of Business Services – Harrison County Campus.
Job Duties- 1. Manage campus VA and other Military accounts, to include set up, adjustments, billing and reconciling. Maintain detailed Excel spreadsheet of accounts.
- 2. Manage miscellaneous third-party accounts to include set up, adjustments, billing and reconciling. Maintain detailed Excel spreadsheet of accounts.
- 3. Oversee, reconcile and invoice third-party student collections on accounts.
- 4. Assist frontline with collecting student payments and post via computer to student account.
- 5. Professionally assist student(s) with appropriate information, within FERPA Federal Law.
- 6. Balance session work and make deposits.
- 7. Assist with incoming Business Office phone calls and emails professionally, courteously and process in an effective and efficient manner.
- 8. Assist/cross train with other Business Office Finance Clerks which may include areas of purchasing, payroll, refund process, Dual Students and club accounts.
- 9. Upgrade skills and performance through Employee Development Plan.
- 10. Maintain an effective working relationship and cooperative working relationships with college personnel, students and the community.
- 11. Perform other duties as assigned by appropriate personnel.
- (M1) Minimum of an Associate Degree in business related field from a regionally accredited institution.
- (M2) Minimum of two year experience in a business related area.
- (M3) Experience in the operation of personal computers with proficiency in Internet, Microsoft Suite with proficiency in Excel operation.
- (M4) Demonstrated strong customer service skills.
- (M5) Experience in handling money and making deposits.
- (M6) Effective communication and organizational skills.
- (D1) Bachelor’s degree.
- (D2) Experience using Banner Software and/or comparable electronic data system.
- (D3) Experience in multi-task environment.
- (D4) Prior experience working in a community college setting.
