OSP Field Inspector / OSP Construction Coordinator North Mississippi (Local Candidates Preferred) $35.00 - $37.50/hour (W2) Mileage Reimbursement | Local Travel | Long-Term Telecom Construction Opportunity

Broadstaff is seeking an experienced OSP Field Inspector / OSP Construction Coordinator to support a major telecommunications provider's fiber construction program in North Mississippi. This is an ideal opportunity for an OSP professional who enjoys being in the field, working directly with construction crews, documenting progress, and serving as the eyes and ears of the construction management team. This is NOT a Construction Manager role.

Instead, you'll focus on field inspections, production reporting, redlines, construction documentation, and communication between contractors and the client's internal OSP teams.

What You'll Do
  • Perform field inspections on underground and aerial fiber construction projects
  • Monitor contractor production and provide daily progress updates
  • Capture photos, measurements, and field documentation
  • Update and maintain redline drawings and as-built information
  • Verify construction methods and document field changes
  • Assist with issue identification and escalation
  • Support construction teams by providing real-time field intelligence
  • Ensure accurate reporting and documentation throughout the construction lifecycle
  • Travel throughout your assigned territory to active job sites
What We're Looking For
  • Experience in OSP telecom construction, utility construction, or fiber deployment
  • Understanding of underground and aerial fiber construction practices
  • Ability to read construction prints, permits, maps, and redlines
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently in the field
  • Comfortable using tablets, mobile apps, cameras, and reporting tools
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
  • Ability to travel daily within the assigned market

Travel & Expenses
  • Primarily local travel within the assigned Mississippi market
  • Mileage reimbursed
  • Limited overnight travel may be required
  • Approved hotel and meal expenses reimbursed as needed
