Job Summary

The Department of Management in the School of Business Administration at The University of Mississippi invites applications for Adjunct Instructors. Selected applicants will join a pool of Instructors for future appointments when a course opening is available and their qualifications match the course requirements. Adjunct Instructors focus on teaching their areas of expertise to undergraduate students.

Position Details
  • Instructs undergraduate students.
  • Maintains, develops and schedules student learning experiences to achieve desired learning outcomes.
  • Plans, develops, and implements evaluation tools to assess student process towards course learning objectives.
  • Be familiar with learning management systems.
  • Other duties as determined by the School of Business.
Minimum Qualifications
  • A Masters degree from an accredited school
  • A commitment to teaching in an environment dedicated to excellence in teaching and mentoring of students
  • Possessing and sharing expertise in an area needed by the School of Business Administration
  • Evidence of strong interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching in an institution of higher education
  • Prior knowledge and/or ability to use the Blackboard UltraLMS
  • Relevant industry experience that includes current engagement in professional activities is preferred.
