Our client is seeking an Engineer I to join its engineering team in Gulfport, Mississippi. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the design, development, and manufacturing of advanced composite products supporting high-profile defense and industrial programs.
The Engineer I will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Program Management, Quality, Logistics, and Production, to support product development, tooling design, and manufacturing initiatives from concept through production. This role offers exposure to the full product lifecycle and provides clear opportunities for professional growth into technical leadership, engineering management, or program management.
Key Responsibilities- Support product development, tooling design, and manufacturing engineering activities.
- Create and maintain 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and manufacturing documentation using Solid Works.
- Develop manufacturing work instructions and maintain engineering documentation, including engineering change updates.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects meet technical, quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
- Provide engineering support during prototype development, production, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with design reviews, troubleshooting, and manufacturing process improvements.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Chemical, Aerospace, Naval Architecture, Composites, or a related engineering discipline
- 0–3 years of engineering experience or relevant internship/co-op experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Experience with Solid Works 3D modeling and 2D drawing creation is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Technical writing experience is a plus.
- Hands-on manufacturing, fabrication, or production experience is preferred.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense Security Clearance.
