Gulfport, MS | In-Person | $90,000- $110,000+ /yr | Full-Time
A well established and growing architecture and engineering firm with a multi decade track record across the Southeast is hiring a hands-on Electrical Engineer to join their expanding building systems team. This is a team that cares about their people and offers real room to grow into greater project ownership.
What You'll Do:
- Personally design and draft electrical systems in AutoCAD and/or Revit, no handing designs off to a separate CAD team
- Develop power distribution systems and one-line diagrams
- Design lighting, fire alarm, and low voltage systems, and prepare accurate panel schedules
- Perform lighting calculations, branch circuiting, and load calculations
- Write and maintain project specifications and construction documents
- Coordinate with architectural, mechanical, and structural teams to deliver code compliant designs
- Work across a mix of education, municipal, and commercial building projects
- Support projects from concept through construction administration
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Experience with building electrical systems such as power, lighting, fire alarm, or low voltage
- K-12, education, municipal, or institutional project experience is a big plus
- 5kV or 15kV medium voltage experience is a strong plus
- PE, EIT, or FE, or interest in pursuing PE licensure, is a plus but not required
- Working knowledge of NEC and applicable local codes
