Duties

BHP is currently searching for an Urgent Care Intervention Specialist to work in our Urgent Care facility in Knox County. In this role, you will provide brief solution based therapy, motivational interviewing and crisis support services within the Care Now Clinic. Services include brief psychotherapy, intake assessments, safety plans and crisis support services as needed. This position does not have productivity requirements.

Serves as a Public Health Officer with ability to write orders of involuntary detainment and complete hospital prescreening as needed. Provides intervention during regularly scheduled hours as well as other services as needed to provide resource linkage.

Our Location

We are located at 206 S. Mulberry Drive in Mount Vernon, a short 30-minute scenic commute from Columbus, Zanesville, Lancaster, and Newark.

Qualifications

Candidates must possess strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to collaborate with other service providers. Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or Counseling with one to three years of social work experience. Independent licensure preferred. Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC);
State of Ohio Driver’s License. BLS/CPR certification required. Basic computer, phone and typing skills are necessary for all positions.
