Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain and Logistical Services, the Material Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Materials used throughout Memorial Health System in Surgical and Procedural areas.
Responsibilities- Oversee and support Material Management activities and staff ensuring a smooth customer focused experience
- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve overall Material operations
- Manage day to day activities involving Recalls and Recommendations by governing bodies
- Strategically plan and manage logistics, standardization and utilization of supplies and equipment in designated areas of responsibility
- Introduction and management of Material Inventory systems
- Plan appropriate steps and action plans to achieve departmental and organizational strategic goals and objectives
- Ensure compliance of Occupational Health and Safety and a safe workplace for all
- Monitor and oversee Vendor activities in designated areas of responsibility
- Identify and manage continuous improvement projects
- Resolve any arising problems and escalating issues as required
- As required provide support in solving day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals.
- Apply supply chain best practices to actively identify, analyze, and recommend quick win opportunities both internal and external to MHS
- Engage with stakeholders to identify, scope, plan, and execute improvement initiatives
- Assist in solution design and analytical support for supply chain activities
- Provide support to the Director of Supply Chains and Logistical Service as needed
Education:
- Required:
High School or GED - Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree in business or related field
Experience:
- Required:
5 years experience Managing equipment, implants, contracts, trials, utilization reporting and billing for surgical and procedural areas as related to Materials Management and Supply Chain operations - Preferred: 10 years experience in Healthcare materials management role or related area
