Responsibilities
This position is responsible for the supervision, coordination and implementation of all aspects of the aquatics department and first aid including but not limited to hiring, training, in-service training, and park operations. The manager will operate the park within the guidelines of Jeff Ellis & Associates, our Insurance Provider, and any local, state, or federal laws as necessary.
The ideal candidate should display a background in customer service and a dedication to the growth and development of the park’s aquatics staff through demonstration, coaching, and leadership. The ability to create a hospitable and educational working environment for teenaged crew members while facilitating a great time for families with young children is paramount. One aspect of this will be seen in the need to coach and develop a seasonal leadership staff from each year’s seasonal crew members.
For these reasons, great people skills are a requirement of the job.
This position also is responsible for updating any manuals and policies for aquatic staff. Additionally, you may be helping lead special activities in the park as coordinated with other managers and team members. Finally, this position works closely with park maintenance to ensure all rides are operated properly and inspected prior to opening daily. Although not required, a background in water chemistry, pumps, and motors is helpful.
Salary: 60,000–65,000 per year or more based upon experience and qualifications. Health Care Options are Available.
