This role is part of our Maritime Defense Systems business, which delivers integrated solutions with decades of proven performance across submarine, surface, and autonomous naval platforms supporting high-priority national defense programs. Our bow-to-stern capabilities include acoustic and sonar protection systems, propulsion systems, advanced composite structures, missile subsystems, canisters and launchers, and autonomous underwater vehicle subsystems. From concept through production, we combine engineering, materials expertise, specialized manufacturing, and large-scale testing to deliver mission-ready systems that reduce technical risk and support long-term operational performance.

The Production Technician supports daily manufacturing activities by preparing materials, performing composite fabrication tasks, and operating basic shop tools and equipment. This role directly contributes to product quality and reliable production flow by following instructions, measuring components, handling materials, and maintaining a safe and organized workspace. Working hands‑on with composites and tools, the technician ensures accurate, consistent execution of manufacturing processes while supporting team operations in a fast‑paced environment.

• Follows written and verbal instructions to complete production tasks safely and accurately.
• Uses measuring tools to support fabrication and inspection activities.
• Operates basic shop tools and equipment including grinders, saws, routers, and sanders.
• Handles chemicals and solvents safely while supporting manufacturing processes.
• Collaborates with team members to complete tasks and maintain workflow.
• Maintains attention to detail to ensure consistent, high‑quality work.
• Supports material preparation, component setup, and general shop activities.
• Communicates effectively with supervisors and teammates to coordinate work.
• Applies safe work habits and adheres to all safety procedures.

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Ability to read, write, follow instructions, and perform basic math.
• Ability to use measuring devices such as tape measures, speed squares, and framing squares.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail and complete tasks consistently.
• Ability to learn and safely use tools such as grinders, saws, routers, and sanders.

• Reliable transportation.
• High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED).
• Problem‑solving skills and motivation to learn.

• Three years of experience in a manufacturing or construction environment.
• Two to three years of trade experience in fields such as carpentry, painting, mechanical work, or home finishing.
• Knowledge of composite materials and processes such as carbon fiber, fiberglass, resin infusion, vacuum bagging, and mold making.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Hobby interests such as team sports, arts and crafts, mechanics, woodworking, gardening, building models, small engine repair, or playing instruments.
