Licensed Practical Nurse; LPN Summerfield of Gulfport

Overview

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Full-Time (Summerfield of Gulfport) is seeking a reliable LPN for our senior living community. The candidate should be qualified and compassionate, experienced in providing diverse basic care while remaining patient and calm.

• Administer prescribed medications and assist with other basic medical care tasks
• Record resident medical history accurately utilizing electronic medical records systems
• Observe treatment to identify progress and potential side-effects of medications
• Monitor resident condition and assist in the composition of care plans and needs
• Provide emotional and psychological support when needed
• Communicate with residents’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort, and instructions

• Proven experience as an LPN or similar role in an assisted living community or long-term care facility
• Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work within a multidisciplinary team
• Familiarity with health, safety, and sanitation standards and procedures
• Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices
• Excellent knowledge of medical terminology
• Experience with computerized EMARs required (PCC)
• Good knowledge of MS Office and data entry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate and able to calmly handle stressful situations
• Successful completion of LPN license program;
  Licensure in MS required

Pay Rate: $22-27 (based on verifiable experience). Night shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM. Physical setting:
