Job SummaryWorks closely with an assigned provider to support patient care and daily clinic operations. Ensures patient healthcare needs are met while assisting providers with clinical coordination, communication, and workflow management. Serves as a key liaison between patients, providers, and the care team in a fast‑paced primary care environment.
Minimum Qualifications- Current Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) license by the Mississippi Board of Nursing.
- Ability to read, write, and understand written and verbal communication.
- Perform patient triage as needed within scope of practice.
- Reconcile medications, verify patient responses, and review refill history.
- Send prescriptions to pharmacies per provider direction.
- Monitor message pool and nurse line daily, prioritizing assigned provider messages.
- Prepare next‑day schedules including medication lists, body composition data, and labs.
- Assist walk‑in patients with questions, vitals, or weight checks.
- Complete referrals including documentation, faxing, and scanning.
- Meet weekly with assigned clerk regarding scheduling issues.
- Provide patient education and care coordination.
- Adhere strictly to scope of LPN or RN practice per MS Board of Nursing and facility policy.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by clinic leadership.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with providers, patients, and staff.
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
- Self‑motivated with the ability to take initiative.
- Knowledge of healthcare policies and procedures.
- Professional judgment appropriate to licensure level.
- Courteous, honest, and professional at all times.

- Willingness to assist where needed.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, reaching, and light lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Manual dexterity for clinical tasks, computer use, and phone communication.
- Adequate vision, hearing, and speech for patient care and coordination.
- Medical office environment with frequent patient interaction.
- Role requires multitasking, sitting or standing for extended periods, occasional bending and lifting, and exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and other hazards.
- Requires cultural sensitivity and emotional resilience when interacting with distressed or ill patients.
