The Humane Society of South Mississippi is seeking a passionate, licensed Veterinarian to join our growing medical team. Whether you're interested in wellness care, sick appointments, urgent care, high-volume spay/neuter, ancillary surgeries, or shelter medicine, we want to meet you. • Perform wellness exams and preventative medicine
• Diagnose and treat sick or injured pets
• Provide urgent care services
• Conduct spay/neuter surgeries (high-volume experience a plus but not required)
• Perform ancillary soft-tissue surgeries
• Oversee medical treatment plans within our shelter population
• Work with a compassionate team dedicated to improving animal welfare

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD)
• Active Mississippi veterinary license (or ability to obtain one)
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Passion for animal welfare and community-focused veterinary care
