Job Description
You will contribute to the development, construction, maintenance and upgrades of data models, data bases, and environmental products for physical oceanographic parameters.
You will complete the setup, implementation, and validation of 2D barotropic circulation models and/or 3D circulation models in support of Navy and/or Maritime Homeland Defense requirements.
You will be required to utilize Geographical Information Systems (GIS) applications in the context of his/her duties.
You will provide support with oceanographic analysis, techniques, and tools and serves as an Oceanography Subject Matter Expert.
You will be required to prepare oceanographic products supporting operations and exercises, to advise senior specialists regarding possible uncertainty within department-produced products.
