Duties Help
* You will verify all requirements from supervisors on issues that arise in the process of performing required work
* You will perform journeyman duties of a Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic on a daily basis.
* You will perform work requirements with other employees and setting the pace while demonstrating proper work methods
* You will ensure plans, blueprints, materials and tools are available and stock is obtained from supply locations
* You will use electrical-mechanical systems and interrelated components such as control modules, switches, actuators, sensors and wiring.
* You will adherence to safety and housekeeping rules as required (for example, ensuring limits of safe machine operation are not exceeded and all tools are used properly) Requirements Help Conditions of employment

* You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
* You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
* You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
* You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operators Identification Card (OF-346) that annotates the size and type of vehicles approved to operate to include forklifts rated up to 60,000 pounds.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States Class A Commercial driver's license and the required endorsements within 12 months of start date. Qualifications Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
