Major Duties- You will repair clutches, transmission systems, differentials, final drives, generators, governors, reduction gears, hydraulic systems, hydraulic and pneumatic braking systems, marine water jet propulsion steering systems and marine outdrive systems.
- You will repair tracks, drives, rollers, sprockets, hoisting units and other working attachments on all equipment including but not limited to cranes, bulldozers, and tractors.
- You will repair, overhaul, rebuild attachments and other utility systems on such equipment as bulldozers, road graders, rollers, stationary generators, Light Amphibious Recovery Craft, 7 and 11-Meter Rigid Inflatable Boats, and Patrol Boats.
- You will diagnose, troubleshoot, remove, adjust, modify, repair or replace defective components in such sub-systems as ignition, emission, electronic and computer-controlled systems, injection systems, or overhauling various operating mechanisms.
- You will disassemble diesel or gasoline engines as necessary and inspects repairs or replaces such parts as injection valves, cylinder heads, cylinder sleeves, pistons, rings, connecting rods, bearings, gaskets, and crankshafts.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and operate vibrating tools such as pneumatic and electric impact wrenches, dollies, hand trucks, mobile hoists and jib cranes for movement of heavy equipment.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision:
1) Experience troubleshooting and evaluating CESE and/or CEEI equipment systems.
2) Ability to disassemble, reassemble and conduct inspections, repairs and replacements of diesel and gasoline engines.
3) Ability to work independently and in teams to perform maintenance services.
4) Identify overall mechanical condition of vehicles and equipment, correction of deficiencies required;
5) Repair hydraulic, lifting, loading, turning and positioning systems including mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic controls.
