Our client is seeking an experienced Managing Lead Mechanic to play a critical role in supporting safe, reliable air medical transport operations. Key Responsibilities- Perform and oversee daily maintenance and inspection activities to ensure aircraft airworthiness.
- Communicate proactively with the Lead Mechanic regarding irregular findings, schedule impacts, or additional resource needs.
- Manage maintenance activities for assigned aircraft at field bases, including parts ordering and inventory oversight.
- Certify that all maintenance complies with FAA, manufacturer, and company standards through accurate documentation.
- Ensure precise and timely entries in RAMCO, including work packages and aircraft status updates.
- Collaborate closely with the Lead Mechanic and AMBS to meet maintenance timelines.
- Monitor parts inventory levels and recommend adjustments as necessary.
- Protect company tools and ensure required calibrations are completed on time.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Certified Aircraft Mechanic.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, functional capacity test (lifting up to 100 lbs), drug screening, and background check.
- For Roving Maintenance Team Mechanics: experience with sheet metal repair and/or avionics troubleshooting and repair.
- Based in Mississippi, with the ability and willingness to travel to multiple maintenance sites throughout the state.
- Willingness to travel frequently, sometimes on short notice, and work night shifts as required.
