JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

The Warehouse Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring efficient daily operations within the warehouse to support Delta Utilities field. This position is responsible for leading a team of 5–8 employees, maintaining accurate inventory records, and promoting a culture of safety, organization, and high performance. The Supervisor will oversee the flow of materials and supplies, implement best practices, and ensure operational standards are consistently met.

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Supervise and schedule warehouse staff to ensure productivity and accuracy goals are met.
  • Oversee receiving, storage, and distribution of materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using Delta’s warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Collaborate with procurement, maintenance, and field operations teams to coordinate deliveries.
  • Enforce safety standards and promote a culture of safety across all warehouse activities.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain compliance with OSHA and company policies.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline operations and reduce waste.
  • Train and develop team members to ensure readiness and growth.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Minimum education required of the position
  • High school diploma or GED required
Preferred:
Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, etc

Minimum experience required of the position
  • 5 plus years of warehouse or logistics experience
  • Preferred: 1 plus year in a leadership or supervisory role
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities preferred of the position
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control processes and warehouse safety regulations.
  • Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment (certification a plus).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office tools.

Physical Requirements
  • Able to operate a motor vehicle, including the ability to enter and exit vehicle unassisted.
  • Able to perform on-site inspections.
  • Able to operate a personal computer, either desktop or laptop.
  • Able to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Able to operate a copy machine, fax machine, calculator, telephone and other miscellaneous office equipment.
  • Able to exert up to 50 Lbs. of force occasionally, and /or a minimal amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push or otherwise move objects.
