Aircraft Technical Inspector- UH-60
Location: Guntersville, Alabama
Shift: Night Shift
Employment Type: Contract to Hire
About the Opportunity
Sky Bridge Aviation is seeking experienced Aircraft Technical Inspectors to support military rotary-wing aircraft maintenance operations in Guntersville, Alabama. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with strong aviation maintenance inspection experience and a background working on UH-60/S-70 aircraft platforms in a fast-paced maintenance environment.
Candidates must have prior military or Sikorsky training on the UH-60/S-70 platform. Tools are required for this position.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure proper procedures are performed on all completed work before release to service
- Complete all required inspection and maintenance records, reports, and forms prior to authorized release
- Verify that no defective or non-airworthy parts are installed on aircraft or components returned to service
- Inspect and accept incoming materials including new parts, repaired parts, and common hardware from suppliers
- Ensure proper tagging and identification of all parts and components
- Maintain organized files of completed work orders and inspection forms for review by supervision
- Perform component and shop inspections to ensure specification compliance
- Verify parts and serial numbers for accuracy and traceability
- Support maintenance teams in maintaining compliance with quality and safety standards
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Chief Inspector
- High school diploma required
- Minimum of 6 years of aviation maintenance experience required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Aircraft Quality or Technical Inspector required
- Military or Sikorsky training on the UH-60/S-70 platform required
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant License preferred
- Experience reading blueprints and assembly drawings required
- Ability to locate parts on assembly drawings and use hand tools for inspection purposes
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced maintenance environment
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and work independently under pressure
- Valid United States driver's license required
- Proof of United States citizenship required
- Must provide own tools
- Experience with ACN (Army Logbook)
- Experience with TAAMS-A/MCDS
- Familiarity with Army Aircraft Records (DA PAM 738-751)
- Knowledge of aviation parts and serial number verification processes
