Overview
The following statements reflect the general duties considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job as identified and shall not be considered as a detailed description of all the work requirements, which may be inherent in the position.
A professional Registered Nurse is responsible for the administration and supervision of direct and indirect patient care within Post-partum/GYN, Nursery, Labor and Delivery, and C-Section operating room.
QualificationsEDUCATION:
High School Graduate or Equivalent.
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing program
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Current licensure by the Alabama State Board of Nursing
- After orientation must demonstrate competence in the care of the post-partum, labor and delivery, C-section patient and the newborn.
- Successful completion of NRP, ACLS, BLS, fetal scalp electrode, IUPC and neonatal IV therapy certification following assignment to Birthplace/Special Deliveries unit within one year of assignment.
