Responsibilities:
- Produce nuanced UI animations, micro-interactions, transitions, and prototypes that elevate usability and visual storytelling.
- Develop motion guidelines and reusable patterns aligned with our design system.
- Conceptualise, storyboard, design, and execute motion graphics, illustrations, and product videos.
- Deliver optimised assets such as Lottie JSONs, GIFs, MP4s, and motion specs for engineering handoff.
- Collaborate closely with UX designers, product managers, engineers, and brand teams to understand requirements and translate ideas into compelling motion narratives.
- Participate in brainstorming, design reviews, and prototype workshops.
- Communicate complex product concepts through simple, elegant animation.
- Enhance product tutorials, onboarding flows, and marketing moments using motion-led storytelling.
- Ensure all motion design work aligns with Make My Trip 's design language, tone, and brand system.
- Contribute to evolving our motion guidelines for consistency across platforms.
Requirements:
- 3-6 years of professional experience in motion design, animation, or product-focused interaction animation.
- Strong portfolio showcasing UI animations, motion graphics, transitions, prototypes, and storytelling work.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, and motion plugins.
- Experience delivering assets for digital products:
Lottie (Bodymovin), Rive, GIFs, SVG animations, etc.
- Good understanding of principles of animation, easing, timing, and interaction design.
- Strong visual sense: layout, colour theory, typography, composition, and rhythm.
- Ability to design not just beautiful animation but functional animation that supports UX.
- Creative thinker with the ability to generate new ideas and elevate design directions.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced product environment with quick turnarounds.
- Strong communication skills for presenting concepts and rationales.
Bonus
Skills:
- Experience working with product design teams or in tech/startup ecosystems.
- Knowledge of Figma, prototyping tools, and design systems.
- Exposure to 3D motion tools (Blender, Cinema4D) or Rive.
