This position will report to the Company Secretary, assisting with corporate litigation and Compliance management, and related roles, to safeguard the company's interests and reputation, in accordance with the roles and responsibilities defined and assigned. This role will build a culture of awareness and execution of business strategies in line with the Companies Act, Litigation management, compliance management, Labour Laws, and Healthcare laws etc.,

What You Will Do:
To carryout internal analysis of existing processes to identify the gaps and develop robust legal systems, processes, SOP for centralized Legal Dept.
Litigation & Dispute Management: Oversee all litigation and arbitration matters, including civil, criminal, regulatory, and customer protection-related cases. Manage ongoing court proceedings and customer complaints and coordinate closely with external counsel to ensure effective representation. Maintain a comprehensive litigation tracker and periodically present case status updates and control documents to senior management.
Legal Case Reporting & Coordination: Maintain an up-to-date tracker of all ongoing and potential legal cases. Regularly share concise and accurate updates with senior management. Coordinate with internal teams and external counsel to schedule and manage legal hearings, ensuring timely follow-ups and strategic alignment.
Strategic Legal Advisory: Act as a trusted legal advisor to the company on a broad spectrum of legal matters, including but not limited to arbitration and dispute resolution, intellectual property rights (IPR), medico-legal issues, labour and employment laws, compliance management and other applicable statutory and regulatory frameworks. Assist reporting manager in various legal advisory work as may be assigned. Assist HOD/reporting manager in interpreting situations that warrant legal involvement.
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws , regulations, and industry standards, including:
Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) regulations, Shop and establishment licenses,
Biomedical waste handling protocols, rules and regulations
Local, state, and national laboratory licensing requirements
I'd like you to please oversee the legal aspects of laboratory setup and related compliance, including all applicable approvals, PCPNDT licenses, other required licenses, registration etc. applicable to other business of the company.
Risk Management - Identify potential legal risks and develop mitigation strategies. Lead internal investigations and manage legal disputes, litigation, and regulatory inquiries.
Legal Notices & Conflict Resolution: Draft, review, and issue legal notices and related correspondence in response to disputes or conflicts raised by internal business teams. Ensure all communications are legally sound, strategically aligned, and support the company’s position in potential or ongoing legal matters.
What Are We Looking In You:
Experience:
13-14 years+
Qualification Background: LLB or LLM
Prior Experience/Background:
Should have exposure of handling Legal Court Matters, Dealing with External Panel of Advocates, contracts etc.
Excellent knowledge of all the corporate laws including Companies Act, Lab/diagnostic compliance, etc.
Good contract drafting skills.
Preferred Industry :
Healthcare, diagnostics and related sector, Consumer Durable, Consumer Services, Real Estate, Retail, Big 4 legal consultancy etc.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies
- Negotiation & Conflict Resolution: Strong negotiation skills to resolve disputes, close deals, and manage external counsel.
- Analytical Thinking:
Ability to interpret complex legal documents and assess legal risks in business strategies.
- Communication: Clear, persuasive verbal and written communication tailored to legal and non-legal audiences.
- Leadership & Team Management: Experience leading legal teams, mentoring team members, and managing cross-functional collaboration.
- Case Management: Skilled in managing multiple legal matters, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Tech Savviness: Proficiency with legal research tools, contract management systems, and compliance software.
