JOB PURPOSE & SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Role

Purpose:

The Compliance Monitoring Manager is responsible for ensuring that all maintenance activities within the organization comply with applicable regulatory requirements (CAR 145) and internal standards. This role ensures effective oversight of contracted maintenance, implementation of audit programs, and continuous improvement of compliance processes to uphold safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities .

- Manage the department’s performance from purely applicable regulatory requirements (CAR 145) and internal standards.
- Lead, manage and recommend feasible options to reporting manager to ensure that the services provided are consistent, fit for purpose and meet both external and internal requirements; this would include both applicable regulatory compliance and customer expectations
- Maintain a set of AISATS data archives.
- Initiate and implement process/certification projects involving continual improvement and best industry standards.
- Oversee and verify compliance of any maintenance contracted to external organizations with the terms of the contract or work order.
- Ensure implementation of an effective system of document and record controls.
- Implement the internal audit program to verify that Compliance Monitoring conforms to planned arrangements.
- Overlooks the maintenance compliance Audits performed and ensures that the maintenance is performing as required.
- Identify non-compliance issues and request appropriate corrections and corrective actions.
- Analysis of the data collected on the effectiveness of the maintenance and evaluate where the continuous improvement can be made.
- Ensure the protection of data archives and the integrity, security, confidentiality and privacy of data, information and knowledge of AISATS.
- Maintain unrestricted access to all parts of the organization and subcontracted entities as necessary for compliance monitoring.
- Support Senior Management- AISATS, in ensuring smooth functioning of the internal Audit department and document the Internal Audit monthly report for providing an update to the AISATS Senior management on Internal Audit activities and challenges.
- Responsible for managerial review and approval of the audit report, discusses audit results with management to ensure recommendations are understood, accepted and appropriate corrective action is proposed. Assures that appropriate auditee responses to the audit report are received.
- Developing programs to support the effective implementation of compliance as stated in the Manual.
- Translate documented requirements into functional specifications.
- Perform any other functions as required by the Accountable Manager.
- Responsible and accountable for overall compliance of operations.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Relevant engineering or technical degree (Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Avionics) OR Aircraft Maintenance Engineer qualification with additional education acceptable to DGCA.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

Compliance Monitoring Manager should possess the following experience:

- Minimum 08 to 10 years of relevant work experience, with at least 7 years in the aeronautical industry, in an appropriate position.
- Have the appropriate skill set to set and manage priorities at senior management level
- Practical experience and expertise in aviation safety standards and safe operating practices.
- Demonstrated ability to manage compliance programs effectively.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Strong understanding of:
- Human factors principles
- Safety Management Systems (SMS)
- Compliance monitoring processes
