SMS Staffing Is Hiring Immediately For Scale Admin / Operator!

JOB TITLE: Scale Admin / Operator
JOB LOCATION: Near Gurnee, IL
JOB TYPE: Temp to Hire
PAY: $18.00-$25.00/hr. (depending on experience)
SHIFT AVAILABLE:
1st Shift – 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (Monday – Friday)

• Serve as the first point of contact for all on-site customers
• Accurately input material details and weights into the computerized scale system
• Monitor the entry and exit of loads into the facility
• Document load grades and conduct payment calculations
• Issue payments to customers
• Generate daily reports and maintain accurate records
• Execute general administrative tasks including filing, closing register, and other duties as assigned
• Communicate with operators via radio regarding material movement
• Maintain a clean and organized office
• Follow all safety policies and procedures

• Bilingual – Must speak Spanish and English
• High School Diploma or GED
• 3+ years of office or administrative experience
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Basic computer knowledge (Outlook, Excel, Word preferred)
• Self-motivated with a proactive attitude
• Attention to detail and accountability required

• Must be able to work under pressure
• Frequent lifting or movement of objects up to 10 pounds
• Visual requirements: close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Must maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information
• Collaborative team environment
