ASE Certified Technicians

Overview

Woody Buick GMC of Gurnee is seeking experienced ASE Certified Technicians; top performers can expect to earn up $72 per hour or $260,000 annually. We are seeking individuals with some to extensive experience, and a strong desire to make the money they deserve. We are looking for technicians with the ability to diagnose, repair and a true understanding of why we do multi-point inspections on vehicles.

• Perform thorough multipoint inspections
• Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency in accordance with dealership and General Motors standards
• Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. to specification
• Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs
• Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
• Inspect and test new vehicles and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made.

Technicians (Automotive Mechanic) should be experienced and aware of the current automotive technologies and be a persistent problem solver. We have determined some factors that may enable your success as an Automotive Technician:

• Minimum of three years of experience as a technician (General Motors preferred not required)
• Experience with automatic transmission and diesel is a plus
• Hold a minimum of three
  
  Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications
• Maintain current factory training
• Hold a valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Team oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
• Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment
