PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Assistant Restorative Practices Facilitator is responsible for supporting the establishment of a safe and stable school climate and culture by collaborating with the Restorative Practices Facilitator, administrators, and school teams, to ensure that all students are successful in the educational setting. The Assistant Restorative Practices Facilitator supports the improvement of social-emotional learning to ensure students receive needed support to achieve and maintain a sense of belonging and high levels of performance.
The Assistant Restorative Practices Facilitator assists in monitoring the students throughout the educational environment to help maintain a positive school culture as assigned by the Administration and/or the Restorative Practices Facilitator.
QUALIFICATIONS:

* Education:
A. Required High School diploma or equivalent
B. Preferred Two (2) years of college credit in an educational or clinical field
* Experience:
A. Required Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with children
B. Preferred Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with students in a school setting
ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs and assists the Administration and/or the Restorative Practices Facilitator with the following:
* Develops positive and trusting relationships with students.
* Assists school teams in general preventative programs related to behavior, restorative practices, and social-emotional learning (SEL).
* Assists with crisis intervention.
* Support educational teams with approved interventions and strategies.
* Assists with data collection and data management systems and implements strategies and interventions based on individual student needs.
* Assists teams with the implementation of tiered interventions with fidelity.
* Follows Parent and Student Handbook for student discipline at all times.
* Attends and actively participates in team meetings to discuss individual students' needs and progress as requested.
* Assists classroom teams in creating an inclusive environment conducive to the needs of all students.
* Participates in professional development that addresses improving school climate, positive behavior strategies, culturally and linguistically responsive discipline, safe schools, disciplining with dignity, trauma-informed care, restorative practices, multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS), and SEL.
* Supports school teams in behavior intervention plan implementation and data collection.
* Provides feedback and corrective strategies to school teams under the direction of the Administration and/or Restorative Practices Facilitator.
* Observes and collects data as assigned by the Administration and/or Restorative Practices Facilitator.
OTHER PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Provide service and assistance at all District schools as needed.
* Assist in other areas as needed.
* Complete other duties as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Technical:
Must be able to use the district email system, Google platforms, Microsoft Office, and other related technology.
Interpersonal:
Must be able to work collaboratively within a team. Possesses the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with staff, parents, and students. Must have strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills, and a strong sense of teamwork. Must be able to cope with deadline pressures; make difficult decisions that impact learning; and work harmoniously with the community, students, parents, staff, and administration.
Exhibit sound judgment. Follow directives given by the Administration. Must also be a creative problem solver who is empathetic, humanistic, and open-minded.
