Position Title

Playground/Lunchroom Supervisor

Job Description

Supervise students on the playground and maintain safety and established guidelines.

Essential Performance Responsibilities
  • Arrives promptly at the designated time at the beginning of the period and remains until the students have left.
  • Supervises the arrival of students entering the playground/cafeteria, monitors students on the playground/cafeteria, oversees participation during recess/lunch time, and supervises student departure.
  • Is aware of emergency procedures and how to obtain medical attention in the event of an accident.
  • Is aware of building protocol for emergency procedures.
  • Refers to “Recess Rules” for specific information (guidelines distributed to the Supervisors; additional copies available from building administration).
  • Performs any additional duties necessary to supervise the program.
  • Qualifications
    • Education:

      High School diploma or GED equivalent.
    • Experience:

      Experience with children preferred; good people skills and a strong work ethic.

    Terms of Employment

    Terms and compensation: salary commensurate with experience and ability under collective bargaining agreement ($15.64/hour minimum).
