Location:

The Learning Experience - Gurnee, IL

Pay: $18-$19.25 per hour (based on experience and credentials)

Schedule:

Full-Time, Monday-Friday

Shift Options: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Preschool Teacher

The Learning Experience - Gurnee is seeking a caring and dependable Preschool Teacher to support children ages 3-5 in a structured classroom environment focused on kindergarten readiness, creativity, and social-emotional development.

This role is ideal for educators who enjoy helping young learners build confidence and independence through engaging classroom experiences, hands-on learning, and positive daily routines.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead daily preschool classroom routines and learning activities

* Support early literacy, math readiness, and problem-solving development

* Create a safe, organized, and engaging classroom environment

* Encourage social-emotional growth and positive classroom participation

* Implement developmentally appropriate activities using the L.E.A.P. Curriculum

* Communicate regularly with families regarding classroom progress and milestones

* Collaborate with teaching team members and center leadership

* Maintain compliance with Illinois licensing and safety requirements

Qualifications

* Genuine passion for early childhood education and working with preschool-aged children

* Minimum 6 months of professional teaching experience required

* 1 year of preschool or childcare experience preferred

* Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred

* High school diploma or GED required

* Must meet Illinois childcare licensing requirements
