Exciting opportunities await skilled Special Education Teachers! A dynamic local district is offering several new contract positions across a variety of supportive environments for the upcoming school year. Multiple roles are available, including positions in self-contained, cross-categorical, life skills, and early childhood classrooms. These assignments provide a chance to work with talented colleagues and make an impact on students’ growth and success.

With a variety of student ages and instructional models, you’ll find a setting that matches your unique talents. Classroom hours are structured—intermediate grades run from 9:05 a.m. to 3:40 p.m., while early childhood programs offer morning and afternoon sessions, as well as full day kindergarten.

Key

Qualifications:
  • Current Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Experience or strong interest in working with cross-categorical, self-contained, life skills, or early childhood populations
  • Ability to develop and deliver creative, individualized instruction
  • Strong collaboration, team communication, and progress monitoring skills
  • Commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments
Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver direct instruction and targeted interventions in accordance with individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Adapt curriculum and materials for diverse learning needs
  • Work collaboratively with related service providers, paraprofessionals, and parents
  • Collect data and monitor student growth, providing ongoing updates and participating in IEP meetings
  • Establish engaging, well-managed classrooms that encourage student participation
