Special Education Teacher - Gurnee, IL

• Valid Illinois Special Education (IL SPED) certification required
• Experience working in elementary or school settings preferred
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to fostering student success
• Comfortable collaborating with school staff and families

• Teach and support students in a self-contained kindergarten special education setting
• Design and adapt instructional materials to fit individual needs
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
• Maintain IEP documentation and participate in meetings
• Create a safe, engaging, and positive classroom atmosphere
• Collaborate with other teachers, therapists, and school staff
