Job Purpose StatementPerforms engineering work in the design, construction, maintenance and operation of water reclamation facilities and pumping stations including collection and analysis of data and information for project scope development, preparation of contract documents, and bidding. Work with Project Manager during construction phase of projects, and interface with Consultants as District point of contact on major design projects. Assist in the District’s capital planning process.

Job Qualification Requirements KnowledgeB.S. degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental or Process Engineering.
Experience3 years of experience in application of engineering principles is desired or a master’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental or Process Engineering in lieu of experience.
Machines, Tools, Equipment (Office and Industrial), SoftwareProficiency in use of engineering software tools (AutoCAD, GIS Arc View).
Licenses/CertificationsProfessional Engineer registration in the State of Illinois or ability to obtain within one year of being eligible.
OtherValid driver’s license.
