Job Title: EC&I Engineer
Compensation: $ 90,000 - $110,000 (based qualifications)
Position SummaryThis position is responsible for taking ownership of the site's Electrical, Control/Automation, and Instrumentation systems, providing technical support and guidance to technicians while driving operational excellence through line performance improvements, process optimization, and automation initiatives. The role is focused on advancing the business through continuous improvement of process control systems, automation technologies, and manufacturing efficiency.
The position will lead, plan, manage, and support a wide range of engineering projects, including new equipment specification, design, installation, and commissioning, as well as major factory development initiatives involving engineering software systems, process control, automation, and SCADA platforms. In addition, the role provides day-to-day production and engineering support for all manufacturing control systems, ensuring the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of SCADA, PLC, MES, and related automation technologies across the site.

Main Responsibilities/Essential Functions- Ensure business SHEQ standards are adhered to individually, ensuring appropriate procedures, risk assessments and permit to work procedures are in place and are being followed
- Ensure a robust and clearly communicated safe system of work and standard operating procedures are applied for all activities taking place across the site
- Drive Continuous Improvement within the area, with emphasis on Visual Management, 6S and LEAN initiatives
- Ensure that high levels of housekeeping are maintained
- Drive to maximise equipment effectiveness of assets through full life cycle
- Provide technical support for Engineering systems including Process Control, Scada, MES and Instrumentation
- Identify, initiate and manage improvement projects
- Liaise with suppliers to prepare project and CAPEX proposals
- Ensure that all System Documentation is updated when new systems are installed / upgraded
- Collaborate with all departments to ensure best equipment is sourced and suitable installations are implemented to support the operation and factory requirements
- Ensure training is put in place for any new system
- Prepare SOP’s and WI’s for new equipment in consultation with operations and engineering dept
- Coach and mentor engineering team
- Undertake all tasks as required in accordance with standard Domino working practices and quality procedure
- Demonstrate and role model Company values and leadership behaviours, setting the standards
- Complete annual training requirements, performance and development reviews as well as Individual Development Reviews in line with the company requirements

What You Need Education & Experience- Bachelors Degree Electrical engineer or similar degree required
- Experience of process control and automation (PLC’s, VSD, SCADA, Instrumentation & calibration, MCC’s)
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a chemical manufacturing environment
- Supervision of Projects including people and budgetary management
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Able to work with different levels of employees/customers
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office – Excel;
PowerPoint and Word - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and ask for help when necessary
- Light work. Light work involves exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a small amount of force constantly to move objects. Pushing, pulling, stooping, reaching, gross/fine manipulation, driving, kneeling, crawling, and climbing may be required. Physical demand requirements are more than those for Sedentary Work.
